Started off as a joke then Bimal and I ended up organising a party!

It went from Nepali Party to Sukunda Party as we were thinking of a name that would be auspicious to all deeds. Coming from typical Nepali families, we both agreed on the name SUKUNDA, an oil lamp with Lord Ganesh and Lord Visnu's Shesh Naag in the back ground attached to a vase.  It can be googled and I am sure you can find a better definition than what I've written!

Back to the website story... so, we decided on the party. As ticket designs were being brainstormed, we landed on the idea of the website and within few days of this idea we had this website up and running, with the details of the Sukunda Party, of course with Suraj's help on web album for the party.

I am sure you are already aware that this website is not here to make money or for any advertisement purposes.  Reason behind this website is to keep all friends and family up-to-date with any events that we organise or participate in.

Since the party in September 2005, I helped organise the Asics British 10K Run 2008 to raise £2,500 for Help Nepal Network. This helped a health post in remote village in Parbat, Nepal to buy necessary equipment.

I then participated in the Asics British 10K Run 2009 with the Run for Change Nepal team to raise funds to renovate an old school in Jhapa, Nepal, again via Help Nepal Network.

These days, I have been listening to my sister who volunteers for Byoma Kusuma Buddhadharma Sangha and soon I may be participating to promote their charity one way or the other. I will keep you posted :o)
